Police arrested Willie Roundtree on Monday evening, according to Anchorage Police Department spokesman MJ Thim.

Roundtree was located after officers recognized him while responding to a report of a trespasser in the area of 36th Avenue and Springer Street, police said. He was brought in for questioning and arrested on a charge of felony criminal mischief.

A library spokeswoman said that staff there were still trying to establish the extent of the damage, which occurred in a storage area in the Alaska wing. The library is working with city attorneys and its insurance company “to determine next steps and damages,” spokeswoman Misty Rose Nesvick said Tuesday.
